Trust and Foundation Support

Grants and awards from charitable trusts and foundations are vital to our work, now and in the future. The Trust has been very fortunate to have benefitted from the support of major grant givers during the capital fundraising campaign to support the major transformation of Manchester Central Library, which was re-launched in 2014.

The major support of The Wolfson Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, The Oglesby Charitable Trust, The Zochonis Charitable Trust and The Granada Foundation, demonstrated an enormous commitment to public libraries and their continuing importance to the fabric of society in the years ahead.

We are very grateful to Arts Council England for supporting capital developments and the Library Live cultural programme, which we are proud to support through match funding and one-off grants for new initiatives. We are also very grateful to other trusts and foundations such as VINCI Foundation and We Love Manchester, who have supported various aspects of our programming work over the years.

We welcome interest from other trusts and foundations who would like to support our work, be it funding for capital developments, archives work, or support for our educational and cultural activities.
